How can we help?

The College supports inclusive, lifelong learning for all, and welcomes adults with supported learning needs or disabilities. There are many ways in which we can help with support, specialist equipment and volunteers. If you have any additional needs please help us support your learning by completing the relevant box on the enrolment form.

The College strives to achieve a positive and supportive learning environment.

We do this by

  • ensuring all students feel valued and included
  • encouraging students to feel fully integrated and involved
  • enabling students to achieve their personal learning goals, to progress and develop
  • removing barriers to learning

  • note-taking
  • learner support assistants
  • specialist software
  • loop system
  • ICT assessments
  • support for exams
  • learner support assistants and volunteers
  • support in the Open Study Centre
  • help with access for mobility impaired students
  • communication support for sensory impaired learners
  • specialist equipment based on individual need
  • taping of sessions - if other students are in agreement
  • personal care facilities at Bexleyheath site
