Free Courses

If you are 19+ you may be entitled to a free course if:

  • you are receiving JSA or ESA (Work Related Activity Group)*
  • Receiving Universal Credit*
  • you are unemployed AND want to enter employment AND if you receive income support or housing benefit or non-WRAG ESA*
  • you are released on temporary licence (RoTL) to follow learning outside of prison*
  • you are 19-23, the course displays FL / F2 / F3 and this is your first course at this level
  • you are serving in the Armed Forces: You may be entitled to a free course. Please call 020 3045 5176 for information.

The course must be marked with this symbol Star symbol to be eligible for a free place. If the course does not display the symbol, you may still qualify for a half-fee if it is availalbe on that course. Age criteria applies see the Fee Chart for full details

You will be required to pay £50 refundable deposit - see below for more details.

If you think you may be entitled to a free Foundation Learning, Full Level 2 or Full Level 3 course, check the current Fee Chart and then speak to a Customer Services Advisor.

Free Examination Courses

Deposits

If you are in receipt of a free examination course(s) you will be
required to pay a one-off deposit (per academic year) of £50.00
which is refundable once you complete the course and take the
exam.

The refund will be issued once the results have been received
by the College. If you are taking more than one accredited
course, this will be after the final exam / assessment.

The £50 deposit will not be refunded if learners do not complete
all courses on which they are enrolled and take all relevant
exams / assessments in that academic year.
